The 10th edition of Clean India Pulire that successfully launched the Waste Pavilion attracted a large number of visitors and provided an ideal platform to promote waste recycling on a large scale. A report
The Clean India Pulire Show held from December 5 to 7, 2013, was supported by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Pune Municipal Corporation, NEERI, various industry associations and waste associations, including the International Institute of Waste Management-Bhopal and National Solid Waste Association of India-Mumbai. More than 000 exhibitors including Eco Recycling Ltd, Shubham Rhinex (India) Pvt Ltd, AM Ozonics, KC Green Revolution Pvt Ltd, Eco friend Industries, Smart Enviro Systems, Time Technoplast Ltd and Aristo Exports. Inaugurating the Show, Hon’ Minister of Rural Development, Maharashtra, Shri Jayant Patil overwhelmed by the due importance given to waste and recycling, said, “I have been living in this city for a long time but this show is one of its kinds, where the entire focus is cleanliness, recycling waste and thus improving the eco-friendliness quotient.”
The Special Waste Management & Recycling Pavilion at the Clean India Pulire show provided a common platform for end users to seek both cleaning as well as waste solutions.
Deepak Kulkarni-Director, Smart Enviro Systems said, “We make composting machines which are useful in conversion of segregated bio-degradable organic waste into raw compost on the spot. Along with curing machines that provide continuous curing support for fast curing speed as well as high curing quality, the system delivers continuous and splice-free curing. We have come here to the show to make aware the companies that such machines do exist in India and they don’t need to import anymore. We have got some good response from Government side, municipals corporations and we are expecting good business leads to carry forward them from this pad.”
Anuj Maheshwari, Eco Recycling ltd: “Our Company is an E-waste management company, a leading recycling service provider in the nation. We are the first company to get the registration from CPCB and the only registered recycler in Maharastra. Our service caters to corporate sectors across the nation and has served 400 corporate entirties so far. Our facility is located in Vasai. Thanks to the Clean India Team which as the organiser of the show has done phenomenal work.
Darshan Sawla, partner-Aristo Exports: “We manufacture wheel bins, pallets and crates with great verities. The bins are extensively used by Municipal corporations and institutions to collect and segregate garbage. Clean India Show (Pulire) has turned to be the biggest market opener for us. We are very much excited and will continue to participate in future as well. The way it was organised was impeccable.”
Bipin Padhi, Director-KC Green Revolution Pvt Ltd: “We are introducing wheel bins that is very useful for hospitals and corporates as well. We have introduced Colour Coded Duo & Trio Dustbins for recycling purposes that are going to be the trend setter in the market. The response from the visitors so far is very positive. They are ready to explore new innovative options. In terms of business, I must say the show has surpassed the previous show held in Bangalore.”
Subhendu Mandal, Otto Waste Systems (India) Pvt Ltd: “We are one of the biggest manufacturers of waste-bins. These bins are applicable to municipal corporations, hospitality industry, hospitals, institutions and other commercial & residential premises. We have brought lots of new innovative products for display focussing on segregation at source – the most important thing solid waste management. At the show we have got such a good response from the show particularly from the HR admin of various companies, municipal corporations… there is good awareness about the segregation at source, Cleanliness. We look forward to continue to participate in future as well.”
The focus of the pavilion was primarily to increase awareness & encourage recycling such as e-waste recycling only from registered recyclers. Mobile Garbage Bins (MGB’s), Ozone generators, pellets, etc., displaying standard waste board signage were the main attractions of the showground. Vishesh Garhpale, Commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation was pleased to see the products on display and the solutions offered by exhibitors, “We have been looking for latest technologies and equipment for solid waste management and we are glad that so many options are available here.”
The show did meet all the demands of visitors fulfilling the spirits of exhibitors as well. Quoting SK Shrama, Sr Dy Material Manager, Mumbai Port trust, “The show was meticulously planned and very well organized. I had visited the show with an objective of identifying competent and competitive suppliers for general surface cleaners and found customized solutions. Clean India Journal can go a long way in match making and hand holding between buyers and suppliers.
